Bihar: Two major fire incidents took place in Patna on Wednesday. The first incident was a fire in a police station in the city and then a massive fire broke out in a posh area. The fire was so severe that 17 fire engines had to work hard to extinguish it.

A massive fire broke out in a posh area of Patna. The incident took place in front of Bank of Baroda located in AG Colony, where a scrap shop caught fire. Police of Shastri Nagar police station says that information about fire in a scrap warehouse in Srinagar locality was received at 7 pm on Wednesday evening. Fire brigade was immediately informed about the fire. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team also reached the spot and started controlling the fire. Police say that the fire was so huge that 13 fire tenders were deployed to control the fire. But water was having no effect on the fire. After this, two big fire engines and two small fire engines were called. During this time the surrounding houses were evacuated. Electricity was also cut off. The fire could be controlled after a lot of efforts by firefighters. Regarding the incident, Shastri Nagar police station officer Amar Kumar said that information about the fire was received at seven o’clock. The fire brigade team was immediately called. The fire was brought under control after hard work for about two hours. All the stuff kept in the junk food was burnt to ashes. The surrounding houses are safe. The situation is completely under control. The cause of the fire is being investigated. The damage is being assessed.
